Upstream Network Issue

Network Solutions under DDos Attack
Network Solutions DNS infrastructure is presently being attacked with a distributed denial of service attack that is making DNS resolution for domains using WORLDNIC.COM DNS servers either very slow or not responsive at all.  Unfortunately, we have no control to help resolve this problem. Box Panel Upgrade
Tomorrow at 1pm Pacific, we will be doing a fairly significant upgrade to Box Panel.  There should not be a visible outage, however the few customers who are presently using our control panel for FTP administration may see a brief disruption in access while we update the databases those FTP servers use for authentication.   If you notice any problems, please open a support ticket. Mail Flow Delays
During a few short periods over the last 72 hours and then starting at 6am pacific time, our Spam and Virus company Postini began delaying email relayed from our secondary internal mail relay mail2.blueboxgrid.com.  mail2 is used to relay mail from our hosting customers to the internet or to mail accounts on mail.blueboxgrid.com.  This delay would have impacted mail sent from our IP space to...

Upstream Network Maintenance
On Thursday, January 22nd, one of immediate upstream bandwidth providers will be making a change to their peering configuration.  This will not cause any outage, however, it may cause network paths to change, thus dropping permanent connections such as VPN tunnels, etc… This maintenance will occur between 11:00 pm on the 22nd and will conclude by 1:00 am on the 23rd

Network Event - January 10th, 2009
At 1:35pm, Global Crossing experienced a network failure in their Seattle to San Jose fiber network.  Our network is designed with multiple upstream providers and thus routed around the issue, but customers may have noticed a 30-60 seconds period of time where our network was unaccessible during the routing reconvergence.  We will update this ticket when we have further information.
